What is it with Key West and housecats? The Hemingway House has forty of them and now we find out about the Cat Man and his trained felines, Oscar, Cossette, Sara, Sharkey, Chopin, George, and Mandarine. If you know housecats, you know that they do not fetch, sit, roll over, or perform any of the traditional tricks that dogs can be trained to do. So how, pray tell, does the 'World renowned entertainer, animal trainer and cat trainer known as Dominique the Catman' get his kitties to perform? Does he have a fish up his sleeve? You might never find out how he does it, but you can watch his purr-fectly fun act at the Westin Pier during the nightly sunset ceremony in which dozens of street performers ply their trade in and around Mallory Square. The Cat Man and his troupe perform for free, but tips and Friskies treats are appreciated!
